Christine is about two high school friends Arnie and Dennis while out on a ride in dennis's car Arnie spots a old rusty Shel that was a 58 Plymouth fury thats sat in the front yard of old war hero Roland D Le Bay as far as Arnie is concerned he has to have the car little do the friends know about the sinister chain of events that buying that car triggers
By now the arguments have started between Arnie and his folks and Dennis is already having nightmares and tries to warn his friend about the dark and sinister side of Christine which only fall on def ears as Arnie puts it down to jealousy on his friends part Arnie moves his car to Darnell's the local garage where Arnie sees that the school bully and social misfit buddy works there and some of the work that needs to be done on Christine's has miraculously been done on Christine and she starts her rain of terror reeking revenge on the people that have either stood in her way wronged Arnie
Arnie's girlfriend Leigh starts to feel very uneasy about Christine and dose not want anything to do with the car and confides in Dennis about the car and he tells her about the the day of the funeral and how the horrid truth had started start to be unravelled to Dennis about Christine and a new love start to form
Annie's and dennis's friendship gets more and more strained as the story unfolds and Christine and Le bay take more of a strangle hold picking up souls as they go forcing Dennis and Leigh into a final showdown to get back his friend before it becomes to late
