It would be too easy to criticise the national curriculum for failing to show the links between subjects more clearly....

Not to mention it's probably my own fault for failing to make such an obvious connection myself. Sometimes I can be incredibly dense smiley - winkeye

I don't know where I heard it, but I heard this really great joke
The trouble is, is that it was perfectly serious

statement issued by some educational institution along the lines of reducing nitrogen emmission because "nitrogen makes up 70% of the pollution in the atmosphere!"

Apparently some kid in the US actually did a research project on the topic asking his classmates whether they should ban Dihydrogen Monoxide. They came back with about 70% saying yes or something silly. He won a prize for it.
