The Ferengi are first seen in the TNG episode The Last Outpost. Ferengi are driven by profit, and will resort to any means necessary to obtain it. They are governed by their rules of acquisition, of which there are hundreds.

The Ferengi are short in stature, bald and have large ear lopes. They are not given to the persuit of science, unless there is profit in it.

Quark (Armin Shimerman1) is the most well known Ferengi. He is the bartender on Deep Space Nine. His brother Rom (Max Grodenchik) and nephew Nog (Aron Eisenberg) live on the station also.

Society

The Ferengi are governed by the Grand Negus, who controls the ecenomy of the Ferengi empire.

Ferengi females are not allowed to go ou in public alone, cannot hold jobs and are forbidden from wearing clothing. They also cannot trade or take part in commerce.

Little Green Men

In the DS9 episode Little Green Men, Quark, Rom and Nog accidentally travelled back in time and created the Roswell incident.
