Okay, that fixes it, going to make sure you guys get a recording of some of my stuff, w/ or w/o the Lizards! I'm going down to Phoenix this weekend, so I'll get the necissary equipment. And yes, Phoenix, though North of Tucson (where I am now) is at a lower elevation than Tucson, so I could say stupid things like "I'm going down to Phoenix and back down to Tucson in the same weekend" without being wrong!

I would.... but I wouldn't stay too long! If I could afford to go any where I would like to visit the offices of the HitchHikers Guide To the galaxy.... So many swimming pools! You need a bloody gondola to get about!

During 1996 I did quite a bit of jamming with a good friend Reed Cathcart. He's an excellent musician. I have put these jams on here for fun so don't think they are serious. They are all improvisations recorded in Reed's Loungeroom on a small cheap stereo in Parkside, Adelaide.
Improvisation with me on guitar, Reed on bass and Reed's brother Ward on drums - http://members.xoom.com/_XOOM/danlore/frames/reed.ram
This is a song I wrote a while back called H20. I am singing and playing lead and Reed is playing rhythem -

This is a Jam with Reed on drums and me playing slide guitar -

Enjoy!!!
Hasn't anyone else got any tracks to contribute to this forum and to our ears?

I'd love to direct everyone to my article on my favorite dead band, The Suede Chain:

I think that a music article is incomplete without the chance to listen to the band.........

I agree! They can stream some sounds and read about the band.
If people add more links to streaming audio here on this thread, we should get quite a bit of interesting music to listen in on. Tunes you will not hear anywhere else! Like my Jams above!

I'm not quite clear on how to upload songs to the web. I've got a demo or two in realaudio version, but how do I get them online?

Danisbackfromlunch Posted Nov 4, 1999
ummm... you need access to a server to store them on. I don't think H2G2 offers anything like that at the moment. So you have to upload it to another server and make a link to it from here! There are places that offer free hosting and will provide you access to some server space via ftp! Do you know how to FTP? Does this help....?
Do a web search for free hosting or server and you should come across something like....
http://geocities.yahoo.com/home/
http://xoom.com/home/
Just 2 examples of people offering free server space there are many more.... most offer help with real audio setup and ftp!

I've got a free website on geocities (I'm not too proud of it, it's very ugly), but I've been having trouble uploading sounds to it. Any advice?

How are you going? Anyluck?
Try looking at the Geocities site and see if they have a help section on ftp......
Try adding your username and password to Geocities to your URL - for example ftp://username:[email protected] don't forget to add ftp instead of html..... This will give you the root directory of server space, you could then drag n drop the audio file into the appropriate directory!!!
Let me know if this helps???

It probably does help... but before I upload anything I want to get the best quality that my limited means will allow... thanks
