So Michael will retire at the end of the season, and stands a good chance of doing so as World Champion.
Good luck to him, it's the end of an era.

yeah good on him.
Kimi in a Ferrari should be an awsome combination as well.
the only question left to tie up is who is going to be in teh second seat at McLaren?

I'm going to stick my neck out again, (I did it with Alonso a couple of years back and Scu over 10 years ago) that Kubica will be a champ in a few years time

Um, debut as in first podium rather than first drive, but then, it's only his third, so WOW!

He's been pretty damn good so far, I can't see him staying at Sauber for long, there's a spare seat going at McLaren or has 'Bunny Boy' Wurz got that?

Sauber is on the up though, seems a more natural fit for BMW than Williams was, even though they have the class and tradition to rise again. Kubica would be wise to stay unless McLaren was particularly interested.

Yeah, cut his teeth on a tried and trusted team and then move to the big boys

BMW are throwing so much money at that team. i have a feeling they will be moving up into honda teritory next season.

True, it'll be nice to see Peter Sauber doing well

I think he is down to 20% ownership of the team, but it's still a distinct Swiss outfit. Good that they kept the Sauber name really, instead of just becoming another maufufacturers team; I've never really been able to cope with Toyota, the name is evocative of Corollas and Camrys; couldn't it be called Lexus or something?

i have always been a fan of teh manufacture teams.
when i was getting onto it teh only team that made its own engine was ferrari. all teh others were like williams renalt or McLaren honda/ford/poregot.
but now it seems the big boys rea taking back over. especially if Merc buy out McLaren
