A Conversation for The Seti@home Project
The Mars Society

Hi!
Just sticking in my $0.02 to mention the Mars Society http://www.marssociety.org .
I am a member, and the society is currently setting up an experimental research station in the arctic that will simulate (as near as we can on Earth) conditions on Mars.
The society is founded by Robert Zubrin, who co-developed the Mars Direct plan that NASA is looking at (they have changed it slightly to the Mars Semi-Direct plan).
Bob Zubrin has also written a book _The Case for Mars_ which explains in some detail the reasoning that led to the Mars Direct plan.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
