After a few years of 'experimenting' with different beers both Australian and other, I've finally settled on Redback as my favourite, with Guinness (from the tall can) a near second.
Redback is brewed by the Matilda Bay Brewing Company (Apparently now owned by CUB) in Western Australia. Instead of using solely malted barley, Redback uses wheat mashed along with a small amount of barley.

Guiness from THE brewery in Dublin is hard to beat. But, I'd settle for a pint of Old Peculier (excuse the spelling, unless its correct of course).
