I generally agree, Ormy ... Moderation (in all things) seems to have settled in quite well, but it is still a significant problem for anyone with non-english content in their material. Because it's not understood, it gets zapped "just in case", but so far, very few entries removed for that reason have actually been checked out & restored ... a workload and resources thing, of course, but an unfortunate restriction for a Guide on the "World-Wide" Web, I feel.

I totally agree with you, Kes. The ban on foreign languages is something that really does need to be changed, and the backlog of Entries waiting to be checked seems to be diminishing very, very slowly!
I also don't quite understand the problem with pictures from outside sources. The reason for prohibiting them, as I understand it, is that theoretically someone could link to an innocent picture and the picture could then be replaced with something outrageous. But surely the same could be said about links to outside websites, which are allowed?
Does not compute...

I suppose that rules, by definition, are not logical, but arbitrary. ...and with that thought, I suggest we have some more ... Cheers!

*Wanders round the pub*
looks like i've missed another party
*takes a pair of leiderhosen that are hanging from one of the beer taps*
I thought Menza said he didn't serve larger?
*Drinks a real *
*goes over to the hole in the wall were somebody has written "Ich Bin ein Berliner"*
Somebody will be in trouble for that, if the moderator catches them.
*Trips over a video tape "Top ten German penalty shoot outs"*
Bugger, think i'll have a large while I watch this.

Why torture yourself, Gedge? Why not watch the video of the Highlights of Bradford City's Season 2000-2001. It's much more entertaining... and short, of course .
*hides behind sofa just in case Ormy comes in*

Thanks Colin! I try to never watch TV. The Americans and Russians faked moon landings and showed them through the tube. I don't believe in anything I can't taste. I don't think taste can be faked can it?
