*thinks* So if I got in the washing machine would I be able to get my socks back?
Hungarorarararoring
Menza Posted Aug 19, 2000
Only if it spins in the right direction and the water is the right temperature. And you are the shape of a sock.
Hungarorarararoring
Menza Posted Aug 19, 2000
Well then I think the chances of finding the socks are slim.

Menza Posted Aug 19, 2000
In what kind of emergency do you have to find socks quickly?
Hungarorarararoring
Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Aug 19, 2000
Errr...if you were suddenly invited to a sock party?
Anyway I never said I had to find them quickly just that I had to find them at some stage...the only thing I need to find quickly is my driving licence and that's not with the socks

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Aug 20, 2000
Aaah but they can't be because I didn't put the socks in a safe place whereas my driving licence is carefully stored...somewhere

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Aug 20, 2000
Hmmm, I never thought of it that way...although I don't think all lost things go to a safe place, some must go to an unsafe place or else nothing would ever get stolen...

Menza Posted Aug 20, 2000
Unless one persons safe place isn't the same as another persons. Then they might just stumble upon other peoples stuff.

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Aug 20, 2000
That would explain why I have a pair of green socks which I have never seen before Do you suppose some people have real safe places that are actually safe places?
Hungarorarararoring
Menza Posted Aug 21, 2000
There must be some overlap somewhere, it must be quite handy if your safe place just happends to be a bank vault.
Hungarorarararoring
Tinkerbell *tumbleweed* Posted Aug 21, 2000
But then the key would have to be put in a safe place and then you'd be back where you started...besides it'd be a bit inconvenient to remember which bank you chose everytime you tried to ut some socks on

Although possibly not as tricky as finding the rogue socks to start with...although I have now found my driving licence and there were no socks anywhere near it
Key: Complain about this post
