*thinks* So if I got in the washing machine would I be able to get my socks back?

Only if it spins in the right direction and the water is the right temperature. And you are the shape of a sock.

Oh...I don't think I'd pass for a socksmiley - smiley

Well then I think the chances of finding the socks are slim.

See I told you, I bet if I'd put them in a safe place I'd be able to find them soonsmiley - smiley

In what kind of emergency do you have to find socks quickly?

Hungarorarararoring

Post 27

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed*

Errr...if you were suddenly invited to a sock party?
Anyway I never said I had to find them quickly just that I had to find them at some stage...the only thing I need to find quickly is my driving licence and that's not with the sockssmiley - smiley

You never know, it might be. smiley - winkeye

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed*

Aaah but they can't be because I didn't put the socks in a safe place whereas my driving licence is carefully stored...somewheresmiley - smiley

Post 30

But the socks might get transported to somewhere safe, so they could be in the same place. smiley - smiley

Post 31

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed*

But why would the socks need to be in a safe placesmiley - winkeye

Hungarorarararoring

Post 32

Menza

If you can't find them, they must be in a safe place. smiley - bigeyes

Post 33

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed*

Hmmm, I never thought of it that way...although I don't think all lost things go to a safe place, some must go to an unsafe place or else nothing would ever get stolen... smiley - smiley

Unless one persons safe place isn't the same as another persons. Then they might just stumble upon other peoples stuff. smiley - smiley

Post 35

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed*

That would explain why I have a pair of green socks which I have never seen beforesmiley - smiley Do you suppose some people have real safe places that are actually safe places?

Hungarorarararoring

Post 36

Menza

There must be some overlap somewhere, it must be quite handy if your safe place just happends to be a bank vault. smiley - smiley

Hungarorarararoring

Post 37

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed*

But then the key would have to be put in a safe place and then you'd be back where you started...besides it'd be a bit inconvenient to remember which bank you chose everytime you tried to ut some socks onsmiley - smiley

Hungarorarararoring

Post 38

Menza

Would be a bit tricky, I'll admit.

Hungarorarararoring

Post 39

Tinkerbell *tumbleweed*

Although possibly not as tricky as finding the rogue socks to start with...although I have now found my driving licence and there were no socks anywhere near itsmiley - smiley

Hungarorarararoring

Post 40

Menza

Well at least part of the problem is solved.
