Since no-one else seems to have started a German GP conversation, I shall do so by asking: What the happened there?

Well, the German GP is always something of a war of attrition, but I have to have some sympathy with DC. First Shuey lost his gears and gets a shunt from behind (thankfully no-one hurt there ). Then after all the cars have been through the debris once, and therefore technically completed the first lap if I'm not mistaken, they Red flag it and Shuey gets another go. To cap it all, just when you think things might go DC's way with Shuey parking up, the McLaren lets go and there's no change in the points. Oh, with the exception that DC now has Schumacher R breathing down his neck.

Yes, it was great to see Irvine do so well in the Jag, if the engine had not given out he would have had another podium which just shows how great he is as he was racing way ahead of Jacques and as Jacques IS reknowned to be the 2nd best driver and there's no way the Jag is better than the BAR at this stage it just proves his point
But yey Ralph Schumacher! OOOOH and Jenson did well too, just shows that the Benneton's may be slow but they've finally got the reliability!
Great race

On the subject of reliability (not particularly the German GP) but launch / traction control, was this not reintroduced because the FIA couldn't tell who was using it illegally last year? I find it interesting that Maclaren / Williams etc. had problems with it this year, and Ferrari seemed to have had no real problems at all. Yet last year wasn't there a few occasions were one M Schumacher had trouble leaving the line (maybe even the season before. I rate Michael Schumacher as one of the best drivers but sometimes his win at all costs / always right attitude gets to me. (though admitedly traction control is more a team thing).
Go on DC!
