A Conversation for h2g2 FAQ: GuideML
a sorry saga

When I try to edit a page, especially my home page, it sometimes takes forever to process.
C'est la vie I suppose BUT a few days ago I changed my email address and fiddled with my home page straight afterwards
Later I followed the link in the "newemail" message the guide sent me and got a popup telling me that "the document contained no data"
My homepage seems to have disappeared. Completely.
I tried logging in again the conventional way and the guide sent me another email, this time with a link to the home page of researcher 103791, whoever he or she is. This is not my homepage and I'm certain that I didn't create a new ID.
So what's happening?
I am researcher http://www.h2g2.com/u91902 and my email address is [email protected]
Help!!

Hi
On the "document contained no data" Are you using Netscape?
Did the most recent change to your page involve adding an italicised PULLQUOTE?
To get back to being the real you hit the logout button in the goo then use the "newemail" url to get back into the site. At the moment you'll still get the 'no data error' probably - but I'll get to work sorting that out.
