With the impending completion of the project, in the later part of the year 2000, there is ever more reason to fear.
That said, sequencing DNA is child's play compared to figuring out where and what genes are and do.
At the end of the day I think that genetic weapons are something we won't have to fear for quite a while - the sheer complexity of an anti-human one is still far beyond our capabilities. I think we should just stick to guns and stuff for now.
