Hi Looney
To change the forms code to point at a particular forum you need to change the numbers in this bit
The easiset way I have found to get these numbers is to create the forum you want to post to,go into the forum & point at the item in the left hand frame (the cascading bit) in your browsers status line at the bottom of screen you will see the url from hell. This url will contain a bunch of numbers some of which are helpfully labelled 'forum' & 'threadid' these are the values for forum & threadid in the code. To get the 'inreplyto' number simply point at the 'reply' button for the forum in the right hand frame. The status line will show the 'inreplyto' number, again helpfully labeled, that goes into the code.
Once you've put the numbers in you can test by hitting the preview button on your form, then clicking 'return to forum without replying' if you end up in the right place your code is right.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Bruce. After todays crisis I decided to go and have a few drinks. You will be pleased to note this course of action worked in an easily predicted fashion. Hic.
I had written the numbers you mention down but I must confess I was confused.
In a funny sort of way, having this text editor posting to a Fun Run forum may possibly be of help to researchers and attract researchers who are not aware of the Fun Run.
Please comment.

Drink rules OK. Should be compulsory.
A question: Wiseman's Ferry. Are you talking about the grand old St Albans pub - restored to its former glory in the 80s?

I'm not sure of the real name of the pub at Wisemans Ferry - it just always gets refered to thusly - "I'll see you at Wisemans Ferry" - I might have to go check.

Over the river, turn left, follow the road meandering to your right, up the hill, past the common, first tiny settlement on your right.
Big festival in the grounds behind the pub in November. Most of the local lads belong to the volunteer fire brigade drinking team. Fire engine circa 1935. Red with lots of shiny brass.

Oh yes - that'd be the pub in St Albans - which Ive been too a few times (sorry I just twigged it ).
The Wisemans Ferry pub is the one on the right as you come down the hill into Wisemans from Sydney, which I think was originally an overnight coach stop or somesuch.

My brother, Michael Cooke if you are ever up that way) built a pole house amongst the eucalyptus trees on a hill (Aussie mountain) over looking St Albans about 8 years ago.
He is an industrial electrician, power stations, oil wells etc. He used to commute all over Aus to wherever the next big project was being built.
I stayed with him at St Albans for a month in 1995. With the house built amongst the trees and well away from any other civilization the bird, animal, life was amazing. Breakfast in the sun on the deck, birds feeding out of containers all around you. Magic.
He sold up a couple of years ago and moved to North Queensland. Good memories. As you may have guessed, he was an integral member of the fire-fighting drinking team.

Those messages mean (I think) that the problem is not with the code but with the email set up on your 'puter & my guess is that you don't have internet mail set up.
Do you send & receive email from your 'puter itself via your ISP or do you use only a yahoo or hotmail style remote email facility only.
If the above means nothing to you, the easy way for me to find out whats going on is for you to email me at [email protected] & I can work out some of your setup from that.

Pastey is satrting a page on GuideML - perhaps you should have a word with him and work together - It seems a waste to have two pages on the go - perhaps work together.

Great - somehow you have lost the first word in the text ???
Would be better if the text wrapped round the pic - sure Bruce will help with this one if you ask him.
