Still to post,

I've written Porters & Stouts and most of Beer Laws but am still to do Beer Culture, I'm off down the pub now to do some research. If anyone can find any gaps or errors in these could they please tell me.
Thanks

Err...
There's already a beer entry by the writing team. Will this one supplant the other? I'm working on an Iron City Beer page (my favorite brew) and I've got a link to the team's page. (Personally, I think the earlier entry was pretty weak, but I wanted to link to something!)
Good work Pastey! That's a lot of work to wade through - even if it is beer!

The team were looking to update and enlarge the original entry and because I used to be a cellarman Peta asked if I would do it. It's been great fun researching it.

Okay, Beer Laws are up at A190577.
I know there are a lot of countries missing but I'm still working on it.

I was going to ask if anyone's done an entry on vodka, but then I just found out for myself.

It's a bit short though. Maybe I'll work on adding to it someday. I just don't understand why people like beer so much. To me it tastes like the smell of goat piss.

Having never got that close to a goats genitals I wouldn't know about that. What I will say in defense of beer though is that there are roughly 3000 diferent sorts of beers kicking around. There are so many different sorts that, somewhere, out there, there is bound to be one you might think, "Um, not quite as bad as goats piss." Mind you, there might not be. I don't like every beer I try, some I think are absolutely disgusting, but I will give them a try.
Now, vodka, what a drink that is

Yeah but drinking two thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine derivatives of goat piss in order to find that one that's not quite like goat piss and almost tolerable just doesn't sound like my idea of a good time. Besides I KNOW I like vodka. Why keep looking?
It's all academic now anyway. I doubt alcohol will pass these lips for quite awhile to come. Ah, me. Those were the days, weren't they? A rum and coke and a greasy hamburger and the hell with my internal organs. I miss my old diet already.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is vodka made from? I was thinking French Fries, but I could be wrong.
Fermented grapes seem to course through my veins longer than hard liquors and beers, which do end up in places that are not unlike the nether-regions of goats. I can respect the comparison with beer.
I especially like a clear, crisp Pinot Grigio. For dessert wine there's always mead, but it's so...celtic wanna-be. Oh hecate, I just like things with corks.
Maybe that's why all the other people who gather with me 'round the flaming trash barrel every evening call me a wino.

I think vodka's made from potatoes. Do we have any h2g2 field researchers from Russia? Maybe we should ask someone who's actually from there?

Ah, the mention of mead. Now that is a lovely drink. So nice I think I shall have to sample some now. Strange but I am the only person I know who actually has a stock at home.

I forgot to say, Vodka was originally made from fermented wheat mash although now it can be made from rye or potatos as well.

And if you're like me and drank so much in college that your liver got pickled, the very smell of it can make you puke!
So sad, that I ruined myself for one of my favorite drinks!!
