I didn't include bio information on my main page http://www.h2g2.com/U53353 (just a bit of self-promotion) because I didn't think it was important for the world to know. But since you asked....
I'm 30, married and have two beautiful daughters, Natalie and Meredith. I live in southcentral Pennsylvania (USA) and I'm planning to buy a house in the next year. I work as communications coordinator for a local public school district (this state has 501), which means I invite press coverage of events in our schools, deal with the media in times of crisis, produce all of our internal publications and do any other jobs nobody else wants to do.
I also work part-time as a sportswriter for a local daily newspaper. I've been writing and reporting for 10 years at various newspapers in both news and sports, holding positions from writer/photographer/delivery van driver through managing editor.
I've lived nearly my whole life in this state and think it's a great place to live - if anyone has questions about Pennsylvania feel free to ask me!
Let's see...I'm male, 6 foot, 2 inches tall, weigh 205 lbs, wear glasses, am right-handed and drive a Toyota Celica. Hobbies include amateur astronomy, writing, playing cards with my friends on Wednesday nights and spending time with my kids. smiley - smiley

I'm 31, married but not for much longer. Separated and nearing divorce. No children. A pet chihuahua named Renaissance. I live in south Dallas (USA). I work as technical computer support for large corporate entities that shall remain unimportant to mention. My main interests are writing and theater. I was born in Texas but lived in Michigan for seven years before returning here, so I'm classified as a "transplanted Texan." If anyone has questions about Dallas, no this is not where J.R. lived (that was Southfork) and no we don't all ride horses and live on farms. Dallas is actually very cosmopolitan. Fort Worth, our sister city, is a bit more stereotypically 'southern' and cowboy oriented.

What else? I'm male, 5 foot, 10 inches tall, weigh 230 lbs but the weight is dropping now that I'm on a weird doctor prescribed diet. I wear wire rimmed glasses. Long brown hair. Blue eyes. (some say hazel but it's more like a bluegreen kinda thing) I'm right handed and drive a Red 96 Saturn, when it's not in the shop which recently has been quite a lot. Hobbies include the 'Net, writing, putting my foot in my mouth and complaining about how pathetic my life is.

Oh yeah and I'm trying to quit smoking but let's just say I picked the wrong month in which to do that. I've had to cut a lot of my favorite foods out of my diet. So I'm postponing the quitting smoking for now. However, I've cut back considerably. I pretty much only smoke at home now. Not out in the public. And after I clean up this place next week, I probably won't smoke in the house either.

Trying to think where to begin is the hardest part about describing myself. I have the outward apperance of lankiness. I'm 6ft 5 tall and apart from a promising beer gut, of skinny build. I worked as a cellarman for almost six years and became rather good at it. It's not hard after all. So any questions about alcohol and I'm your man.
I'm engaged to my other half Anne who has the silly job of being an Archaeological Consultant for a Geotechnical Engineers. I just sign on the dotted line once a fortnight. She's the clever one with an MA in Archaeology (weird subject), and I know about beer. We currently live in Ipswich UK but might have to move to Norwich.
I've been told that I talk a lot, which a completely agree with. Peta has already said that she would hate to have to sit next to me on a flight from England to Oz. I can't help that, but it does break the ice and get strangers talking. What do I do in my huge amounts of spare time? Mostly I write. When I'm not subbing for this wonderful place, which I would happily do as a full time job as I find it so much fun (hint, hint) I write plays and short stories. The best one of these in my own opion was entitled "The search for Glen Miller" because it was a complete goose chase from start to finish. The longest I've done was with someone else and was "Hamlets Video Diary" which was a great laugh because we got people together to actually perform it. I also read a lot. My book collection is now nearing the thousand mark.

You've met me anyway, but for anyone that hasn't go to my web-site for an example of what I do @ http://welcome.to/snub

If you can't be bothered then: I am a web-designer, who is actually a repressed artist and very frustrated with the lack of truly creative things I've recently been party to recently. smiley - smiley I used to go round Europe showing off my videos, but haven't made a new one for over a year[1]. I also do music, Veer, and hope to be rich and famous soon[2]. I live in Hampshire, UK, in a squallid little town called Yateley (see my shockingly accurate guide article for more info), have two wonderful dogs, and plan to escape soon. Where to I do not know (yet). I also enjoy writing, hence gratefully accepting the subs thing and doing my own articles for H2G2. My other main source of writing output is a record reviews site called Wireviews (http://welcome.to/wireviews), and the odd bit of computer related stuff for the Macintosh press.

I am not orange, and my real name isn't Henry. Really.

[1] Not entierly true. I recently did a QuickTime video for a London record label, and another for an Amrecian label a few months back.
[2] Also not entirely true - I'd just like some sort of publishing deal!

I'm Gary, though I go by other names as the mood takes me.

I'm 33, male, right-handed, English, recently married, and recently moved to rural West Ireland after 11 years in IT, the last four as a consultant in Germany and Holland. Please note that I no longer term myself an IT consultant - I still haven't thought up a new label yet (writer, photographer, restaurateur, antiques dealer and househusband are all candidates at this stage), but IT consultant it won't be.

My favourite places (in the real world) are Derwentwater, Rome, Yosemite, Sydney, and curled up under my duvet here in Galway. I particularly admire the writing of John Steinbeck, Tom Robbins, Roddy Doyle, Stephen Fry (and of course Douglas Adams), but in between those rich main courses I'm happy to clean my palette with a sorbet of Bill Bryson, Iain M. Banks, or anything else that's available. I do need to read, though, or I get twitchy.

I won't dwell on my physical appearance, but I've had a goatee ever since seeing the Barenaked Ladies in Manchester five years or so ago, though I note Steven Page shaved his off soon afterwards. In January I'll be getting a shiny baby Merc; if there are any offers for a thoroughly loved Audi A6 Quattro just mail me smiley - smiley.

If you want to know more about how I (and several of the other sub-eds) think, go to http://www.floor42.com - the only place in cyberspace even more fun than here.

Sorry I am late. Hmmm, where to begin. 6'1" (6'2" if I stand straight smiley - smiley right-handed and weight unknown, but too much. Got a degree in Biochem/microbiology but work in IT support with some network admin. However I am sick and tired of that, and have started to learn how to program. Eventually hope to become a developer, move to the Netherlands or something similar. I am engaged to be married, to a mad woman, with the patience of a saint (tho' her friends say that about me smiley - smiley I can batter out a tune on a fair selection of musical instruments, play squash and occaisonally fence (but way too irregularly, recently). I enjoy irritating people, but try and keep it in the Real World, and to people I know (unless someone really bugs me smiley - smiley I also enjoy hill-walking, but with the state og UK public transport (and the fact that neither of us drive) means that we havn't been able to climb anything so far this year smiley - sadface I read voraciously (tho' I have just come out of a 3 month slump where I didn't read anything more than magazines) mainly sci-fi and fantasy, but books on how to do things also intrest me. I have just started reading a book on bee-keeping. I shout at the TV when something that irritates me come on (female doctors in sci-fi programs can normally do it). Well I am just rambling now so I will leave it there smiley - smiley
