monument to 2000 years of christianity? *buzz* wrong. that's just where we're marking out callender from. it's more about the state of our society, who were are, where we are going... which does have some spiritual aspects, yeah...
i can speak from an informed POV about the subject as I was actually *there* yesterday... and you know what? it was actually pretty good. if you take out some of the queing and the BLOODY KIDS everywhere it's really quite fun. i don't know what all the negative publicity about it, visitors being down (it was packed!) and stuff. i had a great time there and would even go back given the time & £££'s as there was so much to see!
...and as for it being a kids thing, i'd say some of the exhibits are actually more aimed at adults.
anyway, just my 2p on the subject...
