A Conversation for Ring-a-ring o' roses
Ring Around the Rosie

In America (or at least where I live) we say: Ring-around-the-rosie, A pocket full of posies, Ashes, Ashes, We all fall down. I wonder if part of the reason our version is different is that we have no memory of having gone through such a devasting disease. In fact, when I told my dad that the nursery rhyme was about the plague he didn't believe it.
