Blaukraut is a new one to me. My mother (German, BTW) always referred to it as 'Rotkohl', i.e red cabbage.

it's got bifferent names, Rotkraut or Blaukraut in the south, and Blau- or Rotkohl in the north - mostly. but you can't make conplicated twisters with rotkohl...
