My dog seems upset that I spend so much time on h2g2 and not enough playing with her. Lately she stares at me the whole time I'm sitting at the computer, and I just know she is imagining that I am a large bowl of kibble. What should i do?

Take her out and get her good and drunk. Then, when you come home, look the other way as she eats your favorite plant. 
If that doesn't work, feed her and do your h2g2 at the office/workplace!
