I've been to Brownsea Island for Guide Camp! I was enrolled next to the Baden Powell Stone. I saw lots of rabbits and 2 babies as well. None of them were swimming although the staff at the Nature Reserve told us they do. The Reserve is huge, and there are so many birds to spot. There was a shy Sika deer in our garden one day and it stayed there for ages. When we went out for a hike there was one in the bushes eating about 2mtrs away from me. There were too many peacocks and peahens. The Guide leaders had to chase them with brooms.
There were quite a few red squirrels playing in the trees. One day I sat on the lovely beach listening to all the sounds around me, and I heard a bird that sounded like a balloon pump.
There were also some knobbly kneed Scouts on the ferry.
I had a lovely week.
Glad you had a good time.

It sounds like you loved it. The peacocks can be a bit of a pain but it is brilliant when they display their tail feathers. It more than makes up for the noise and the aggression and I don't think there is anywhere else in the country that they live quite as wild as this.
