Hi Bluesue!
We certainly need an entry on the Sika deer.
I get the impression you've lifted a lot of information from http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/wildfacts/factfiles/393.shtml
Could you restructure/rewrite it in your own words a little more? - the BBC Science & Nature site would be an excellent page to link to, though - good pictures.

Strange as it may seem,I had not read the link,I got most of my info from the British Deer site,That is,dates etc. What the deer eat and look like I can't do much about.Do you mean you want me to write it more on the lines....'My big day out spotting deer in dorset'then add the links as I go along

I think there are many ways you could do it - why not take a look at some similar examples in C55092.
For example there's the comprehensive field-guide type entry like A1905220 - Otters
Or there's the more informal, readable style like A510931 - Hedgehogs
Lots of other styles there as well.
I'm sure an account of a deer-spotting trip would be good too.
It's up to you really!

Hi bluesue,
Could you also take out the links in the meantime* as they are making the page too wide to read easily. Ta.
* they can go back in when the entry gets put into gML.

Hi Bluesue
It would be nice to have an Entry in the EG about Sika deer, however, what you have at the moment reads more like statements than sentences, which may be why they are so similar to other web pages. If you used your own writing style to turn the statements into sentences, that would solve that problem.
It would also be helpful if you could use GuideML, you have changed your PS to GuideML, so are at least a little familiar with it, and any help you need, simply ask here, there are plenty of people willing to advise you. It's quite difficult to read as it is, bunched together and the web sites making it longer (as Kea said) than is normal.

thanks for your help,i don't have a clue about guideML.it was my grandson who did that on my space, and, like the car at the bottom of the page, roared off to uni.leaving me none the wiserI only got a pc for the first time at christmas last year, most of the time it is a hit and miss affair when i use it,although a quick learner, unless there is someone to actually show me,i get lost, and some of the jargon is beyond me completely

My thoughts too Milos. This started off great (and I know there's a photo to accompany it), so would love to see the Sika get into the EG

Thanks for the enquiry,Skankyrich has just posted me to ask if he can continue.I can't get the hang of writing in guide ML.I think it best,as he knows what he is doing.I have offered all my help and pics.I know he will make a better job of it than me.

Yes, Sue is going to take this out of PR, then I'm going to do some work on it and we'll re-submit it as a collaborative Entry. It's far too much of a good start to lose
