Meanwhile we could get back to my point about redesigning milk. Having spent some time thinking about it, milk would not spill if it was solid, or at least a lot more viscous. Some compromise between cheese and milk is in order I feel. If the milk were to remain solid whilst in the fridge and for a short time after then the carton could be opened without spillage (Though possibly with a chip or two from the block of milk, easily picked up and dunked on your cereal/hot water based beverage). Then after a couple of degrees warming, but still so it is refreshingly cool, it would turn liquid and be poured off as the milk we have come to know and love(?!).

True, but would it be able to shake milk onto your cereal bowl similarly to how you shake salt onto chips if milk was solid?

Besides, other people have tried to redesign milk - you can get that milk powder - and that's GHASTLY.
