Great read, Isa, I lovew it, I can nearly smell and taste it.
You wrire:
>>Also included is chapatti or parotas. (Pan fried dough, usually the substitute for bread). <<
Which is the dough, and what is the other, or are they both fried dough?
Btw, do you want to change this to guide ml with all the necessary and tags, or do you want to leave it in plain text?

You'll have to tick: Guide Ml, then: Change Style at the bottom of your entry. Then you go and put at the beginning, and at the end of each paragraph.
For your list (where you have the fullstops now), you start with
then you put before every point and behind, and end the whole list with
Hope that helps. If you don't manage, just leave it in plain text.

I really like it makes me drool just to read it - a far cry from Macdo and Burger King (which don't make me drool).
just two things:
The title should be 'The Colourful Cuisine of Dhaka, Bangladesh'
'admit ably' --> Admittedly
With GuideML you may also want to have headers for each type of food by putting and around it.
If you need help with GuideML you can go to the <./>GuideML-Clinic</.>

If you use headers, you don't need the list.

Colourful indeed! Another superb article, Isa.
Most of the so-called Indian restaurants in the UK are run by Bangladeshis, and it's a rich culinary culture you have. I'd love to see some pictures of Dhaka's food stalls. Is there a link you can give us? Or, if you have a digital camera, you could always take a few photos and send them in to the h2g2 Photographers group.
A few spelling and grammatical points:
I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to say here.
No verb.
'Not a street is without its...'
just say 'Older people...'
<...at home. Youngsters prefer theirs...> use a semicolon '...at home; youngsters prefer theirs...'
'a variety of foodstuffs'
'the most common of which are...'
'known as tongs' You could italicise tongs and other Bangladeshi names within the text when you convert to Guide-ML, i.e. tongs
'not quite small enough'
'On almost every street you will find a small carriage'
how about 'another success in the range of culinary delights'?
'disc-like' (I think)
'savoury'
'Nuts .... have taken the convenience of shopping...'
< A big round tin bowl filled with peanuts. Always extremely cheap, they are handed out in small bags made from old newspapers.> How about ' A big round tin bowl filled with peanuts, always extremely cheap, which are handed out in small bags made from old newspapers.'
'the city's spicy tastes'
How about 'Soft and hot to taste, these are sold in the same manner as nuts, mentioned above.'
'served in parties and weddings, as well as'
'except that it contains more chili'
'colour'
It's not clear which is named after which.
different to what? how about 'a variety of yogurt'?
How about 'It tastes sour, but is oddly filling.'?
'These are the main items found all year round'
Hope this helps!
Icy

It looks much nicer now. A few things, though:
Remov the ยท you put before your headers - they show as . in the text, and you don't need them there anyway.
Start every paragraph with and end it with
admit ably => admittably

Hiya!
A good start...
A small point for now:
Puri - is it always filled with potatoes etc? I think that it can also be plain. I really like it when it comes off the flame as is all puffy.
