Perhaps when you get time you'd like to convert this page to the H2G2 standard for combined articles which is:

Name of Toy goes here

Information about toy goes here.

etc.

Page is looking good so far!

thanks for XML suggestion.

Since I am really a dilletantte at all this, the fine points escape me at times.

I can do the conversion easily [I think], but where is a good example of a page done in this format for me to model it after? One of the community effort thingies?

I may be over my head here, but the article just had to come out, I couldn't stop it.

Is there a good [orderly and effective] way to get other people's stuff into the body of the article? Do I ask them for permission? or do I consider their posting of stuff in the forum making it fair game. Or do I just leave it in the forum and let 'er rip. Anonymouse(40077) has already added a whole buncha great stuff...

Need technical assistance, editorial direction, and moral support! HALP!!!

A good example is my first comms edited effort at http://www.h2g2.com/A139501

If they post it to the forum then use it and make sure you credit them when you submit the article (send a list of names AND numbers ie: Fred Bloggs: 123456)

You can add these to the articles as comment tags and they will be invisible except to the editors:

<!-- List of people who helped Fred 65050 Bert 99999 Jane 32424 -->

If you find something outside a forum that you want to use then ask the author for permission - perhaps leave a note for them on their home page. Most won't mind, but a few are against combined entries.

Moral support: I think it's a great idea. Go for it!

If you need any more help then either reply to this thread or leave a message on my H2G2 home page.

Craig.

Yup, that looks pretty good now. I'll have a look again in a couple of weeks and bung it in Mark's direction once it's been expanded a bit.
