The Handmaids Tale

I want to write about this book, because i think it is very good, i suppose that's a good place to start. no one else seems to have writen a guide entry on it, so maybe no one is interested in it.
I am stuying this for my A-level, it's a really good book, about a dystopic society in which female fertility is valued, and loned out (that's a weird way of putting it, but i'm not very good at reviews) If you are studying it i think you need to see the film, though the film isn't true to the book, in fact i really didn't like the film at all, it was more disturbing than the book, but i think you need to see it to be able to compare, and workout why the book works so well when the film doesn't. people complain that the book is too ambigous, particularly the ending, but i think it's best that way, it makes you think for yourself.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
