2.) A folk-rock outfit from Newcastle named after 1. The original line up was Alan Hull, Ray 'Jacka' Jackson, Rod Clements, Simon Cowe and Ray Laidlaw. They had a stream of early hits such as 'Fog On The Tyne', 'Meet Me On The Corner' and 'Lady Eleanor'. Split in 1973 to form variously Jack The Lad and Lindisfarne MkII. Re-formed in 1978 and produced the hit 'Run For Home'. Despite the departure of Ray Jackson and then Si Cowe, and in 1995 the tragic and untimely death of Alan Hull, the band continues to this day, the line-up being Rod Clements, Ray Laidlaw, Billy Mitchell, Marty Craggs, Dave Denholm and Ian Thompson.
