Beyond a certain point, any job involving customer service becomes a form of herding.

Head em up, move em out, as one of the co-workers puts it, all the while humming "Rawhide".


I worked several long shifts three days in a row this last week. Beyond a certain point, the collective moronity of their purchases begins to weigh heavy on my mind. Other repetitive behavior also begins to grind away at my psyche and my ability to be nice to them.

All any urban anthropologist has to do to learn about the collective stupidity of individuals who can't think for themselves is observe the petrol and beer purchases of blue collar, green collar and on the dole customers.


After dealing with these would-be humans for fifteen hours, all i want to do is leave the planet. You can't find a Vogon when you need one.
