Actors an entirely different species?

Aren't actors an entirely different species from us humnans with their own unique language and pecking order? If so, is it right that they take the jobs of honest hardworking humans who might appreciate the challenge of waiting tables or stacking shelves ?

Is closely related to supermarket stackers, as it's what crap, stupid or just plain out of work actors call themselves rather than admit to being 'unemployed'.
