help me!
my user page is screwed! i am researcher u105556 but for some reason my page is slightly b******d. please help as its kinda frustrating.h2g2 recognises who i am but i cant do anything without the aid of my user page. i cant actually do anything to the page. but it seems to think theres something wrong with a link to the incubus website. claiming to have a XML parsing error, whatever the hell that is. is it possible to do anything your end? any help would be greatly apprciated.

You should be able to edit your page by going here: http://www.h2g2.com/MA105556?type=2 and clicking edit.

When you get there, you've missed off a double quote ( " ) at the end of the incubus link.

is it true that h2g2 is changing and thats why there have been some problems in weird places?
the incubus link also worked fine like that for a fortnight.
so how do i get rid of the lovely big error marks on my page?

Yes. h2g2 has been changed. We are now in the so called h2g2V2.
I can't tell you how to solve the problem without seeing the GuideML. So if you go to http://www.h2g2.com/useredit?masthead=1 and copy the code and e-mail it to me at [email protected] , I'll read through it, check where the problems are and send it back. I'll be on for a few hours now and then tomorrow noon.

I see the error:
The parser complains about line 294, character 65 but the problem is that you're missing a " after index.html (see below) just add a " between the l and > and it should work.

From the above posts I think there's a problem after the url quote is closed - but I could be wrong

Well, the XML complains about the closing tag. But if the quote is left open, the opening tag is never finished. If the parser error page would show the full code we would know exactly what the errors are .

well, ive tried to change the incubus link but now im told that there is an error in my guide ml. something to do with bad closing element font. ive had no trouble with this before.

ive emailed the nasty page to mr. cynic at the h2g2 addy.

I've fixed all errors I saw. Thing is, you sent me the code the parser showed while complaining about the code so I don't know if everything you have on your page reached me. But please tell me if it works .
