Help!!! My browser isn't updating/refreshing forums!

I can see forums on my page, and I can see there that there have been additions made to them, but when I click the link and go to the forum all I can see is the same threads as were there last time.
For example, last night (my time) I wrote an entry to the forum about when we first found the "Guide" in book form. This afternoon I found the forum entry on my page and it said the most recent reply was an hour ago. When I went to the forum, it says I posted 18 minutes ago, and nobody else has posted since.
What happened? I hope I haven't broken it.
What have I done to try to fix it...
# I made sure I had cookies on (in fact, I can't find out where to turn them off!)
# I logged out and logged back in, after I remembered how.
# I tried to go to the forum from someone elses page.
And, um, I can't think of anything else to try.
Help!!! I'm missing the story about the boy, the girl, the Wizard and the weasels!

The latest entry in a forum isn't always at the bottom. You might also be having problems with pages cacheing - either on your 'puter or on your ISP.
hope it helps

Thanks Bruce,
The forum I was looking at was small enough that I could see all the posts, and the timestamps were the same as last time I had been to that page.
I think it is a caching problem, but I don't think it's my problem, mainly because I changed nothing, *nothing* I tell you!
I found a work-around... if I refresh each page as I get to it I get the most recent version off the server.
Still, I sure would like to know why.
Any other suggestions would be welcome.

Some ISPs use a proxy server that will cache web pages. Some of those proxy servers are a bit too determined to give you the last requested copy of the page without checking for a newer version on the site.
One other thing that will cause a problem similar to the one you describe is using the back button to get back to your h2g2 homepage. You'll often end up with very strange things in the forum time stampings displayed. I'm not sure why it happens - but I'd guess its something to do with caching.
