I've got a footnote to a footnote -> http://www.h2g2.com/A228232 and the sub-footnote is appearing above the footnote. Now I know that this may not be structurally correct in terms of the "Queen's English" but some very notable writers (e.g. Terry Pratchett) do use this technique.

This is a feature of how the sites parser works & (according to Jim Lynn) isn't likely to change in the near future
