Nihongo Pera Pera! : A User's Guide to Japanese Onomatopoeia (Tuttle Language Library)
by Susan Millington
Written using English characters not Kanji. This is seen as a strenght by some and as a weakness by others.
Also "Flip, Slither and Bang : Japanese Sound and Action Words" (Power Japanese Series). which is, I believe, in Kanji.
I found these in the same google search that brought me to this site.
I was looking for a list of English Onomatopoeia.
Seems as though many search results related to Japanese or Japanese/English.
