Just have to tip my hat to you Mr. GargleB. I have lived in L.A. my whole life and you have captured its essence pretty well. In response to the Weather question I would only add that the rainy season in Los Angeles is relatively short and soon forgotten once the heat comes and that smog almost always accompanies the sun. The observation regarding shootings in Los Angeles is a bit sad but right on target (no pun intended).

Too bad the pun was unintended... I thought it was rather good. 
Sadly, though, the parts that capture the essence of LA the most were the ones that were hacked out of the Approved version. I guess the truth isn't politically correct. Anyway, thanks for stopping by, and saying nice things.
