Not without leaving spots. I use either a microfiber wipe similar. Soft, clean cotton will work as well.

Yeah, I suspect TP and facial tissue is OK to dry eyeglass lenses, as long as they don't have additives like moisturizers, aloe, scent. I doubt even the cheap "John Wayne"
TP has abrasives.

I seem to recall that Wayne died of lung cancer. he smoked plenty of butts. it's just that he was filming a movie while nuclear testing was going on nearby.
