As we all do whenever we visit h2g2 how's about:
Bacchanalia (bak-uh-nay-lee-uh) n. pl. 1. Festive rites in honor of Bacchus. 2. Drunken feast. - Bacchanalian n. & adj.
or just Bacchanal for short. Not to be confused with Baccarat, which is a French card game. Pointless fact for the day: included in the survival kit in a modern inflateable lifeboat, along with high energy food, survival blankets (and probably Kendal Mint Cake) is a packet of cards. In case you get bored.
