smiley - boing

excellent - any chance of a link to a recipe for Zwiebelkuchen, or are they all in German?

The only thing I spotted is that you need a space after your 4th footnote

smiley - applause

I'll go and have a look for a recipe, do you think there are some in English ? And is onion tart the correct word anyway ?

I'll get smiley - chef to give us one, how about that? I think 'flan' might be more appropriate, but I'm not so up on culinary terms

smiley - biggrin

I've always thought a flan was a sort of 'Pudding' smiley - erm

Magwitch - My name is Mags and I am funky.

I think tart is fine, although in England we do have savoury flans as well.

Will read the entry now and get back if there is anything to comment on smiley - ok

ah,you're thinking of the proper French definiton of Flan.

To a Brit it's a pie without a top, with egg as it's basis.

I haven't had it in yonks,but isn't Zwiebelkuchen more like a Quiche?

Post 15

Yes, it's not so far from a quiche. I've found a recipe here: http://pie.allrecipes.com/az/OnionTart.asp

I think that sounds like something I'd ake for an onion tart

magwitch smiley - cheers

A flan and a tart are open casings (without a lid)

A pie is with a lid

A pudding is something that is served hot

if I remember rightly Zwiebelkuchen is a sort of raised pastry dough with lots of onions. But smiley - chef is an expert at those so I'll check when he gets home.

smiley - cheers everybody. To be honest, I don't recall what the last Zwiebelkuchen i had looked like, it's been three years now that we last made such a tour as described

Magwitch - My name is Mags and I am funky.

Just one or two typos in an excellent entry, B'Elana

smiley - bubbly('White Feathers', also known as Sauser or Sturm1( tempest) amongst other names)--> maybe a hyphen or two would be better to accentate tempest than a further set of brackets

smiley - bubblythey are pressed ,--> lose the space after pressed

smiley - bubblyif you are lucky, some --> add a space after comma

That's it! smiley - ok

"Federweißen stimulates the digestion and in combination with the consumed onion tart may result in a 'tempest' in your bowels" this line made me laugh out loud
