GreyDesk Started conversation Dec 5, 2006
This is the penultimate week of the season.
It's a pretty wide ranging list, but a list that avoids the Premiership, as that's the place that we will be visiting for the end of season final blow out.
Birmingham v Preston
Brighton v Cheltenham
Bristol Rovers v Hatlepool
Burton Albion v Aldershot
Blyth Spartans v Kettering
All predictions to be in by late lunchtime on Saturday, 9th December

The common link is all the names beging with B. Does that mean that B might actuyally perform well or just like normal thjis week?

It seems that the shoppers *did* wear Brighton down, so we'll have to wait a few extra hours for this week's last result: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/teams/b/brighton/6216666.stm

Yes that road into Brighton is a right pig at times. It's the main road down from the motorway and London etc. It's also the location of the local's cunning plan as to how to avoid the visiting hoards of day-trippers and the like.
There are actually 6 roads into Brighton from the north, however only this one the A23 going past Withdean, is sign posted as being the 'road to Brighton'. Therefore all the visitors take this road which leaves the roads signposted to places like "Bevendean", "Coldean", "Moulsecoomb" very much free of traffic.
And where are these places? Why they are districts and communities within the city of Brighton & Hove
Birmingham 1-1 Preston (Bendtner)
Brighton 1-0 Cheltenham (Hammond)
Bristol Rovers 2-1 Hartlepool (Daly)
Burton Albion 4-1 Aldershot (Clare)
Blyth Spartans 1-1 Kettering (Solkhon)

This was a week when the mid-table folk shone. Demon Drawer and riotact have notched up nine points to take a share of this week's title. Well done guys (And well done riotact for an impressive 3-1 Full House. Nice call )
The three at the top had poor to mediocre weeks, which I believe leaves me[Andy]g vunerable to attack, and quite possibly Orcus as well. I don't think that Ormy can finish anywhere lower than 2nd, and will I believe most likely win it. But you never know what might happen in the final run in

Mr Desk, sir: nice though it is to be so handily placed with a week to go, I think you may have short-changed me by one point this week. I had the correct score in the Brighton-Cheltenham game as well as the Birmingham result. Call me greedy if you like, but as you say: you never know what might happen in the final run in!

GreyDesk Posted Dec 10, 2006
Indeed you did get the Brighton score right along with the Birmingham result. Coming into this week you had a grand total, and it is grand, of 101 points; and as you leave you have 106. The miscalculation this time is yours, sir.
