FF17 - Week Five
GreyDesk Started conversation Sep 9, 2006
If you thought that week 4 was hard, spare a thought for me who's going to have go roaming all over the web with a copy of babelfish trying to get the results and scorers. As this is likely to take me quite a while to do, I thought I'd get week 5 up and running right now.
As you can see, it's American football for this week.
New York Red Bulls v Columbus Crew
Real Salt Lake v FC Dallas
Los Angeles Galaxy v Colorado Rapids
Chicago Fire v D.C. United
Houston Dynamo v Chivas USA
With the time zones thing coming into play, you've got until, say, 10pm on Saturday, 16th Spetember to get your predictions posted.

No, it's American football (note the use of the lower case 'f') as it relates to football played in America.
If our colonial cousins wish to refer to the game as soccer, well that's up to them, and we'll promise not to laugh too loudly

Ah, I missed the capital F thing, I just had visions there of predicting a 87-42 scoreline correctly and wondering who was going to score the first touchdown

Which city was it that used to have a team called The Clash? When I heard about it, I almost thought it worth moving to wherever-it-was just so you'd get to say 'Right, I'm just off to go and see The Clash' on a regular basis. But then I'm quite sad.

Well I wasn't sure but I did spot a crown on their club crest which kind of hints at the meaning they intend

Actually I have to say the american obsession with sports stats I find really irritating normally but it's kind of helpful for this competition
