I don't know about you but the first editing step for me is to go through the article and check the GML - or change to GML if necessary!

Is it not obvious if there's a problem with the GML?

Sure, it's obvious if there's a PROBLEM. What I meant was checking to see that it conformed to guidelines - upper-case rather than lower etc.
