I have put the album names into italics.
It was confusing to read the album name, then the same name for a single all on one line...

"This was taken from their forthcoming album Pleasure And Pain. The single went straight to number six in the American charts. The album Pleasure And Pain was released in early 1979 and was to become their first gold album, with 500,000 copies sold in America."
Too many "album"s in there - how about losing the one in "The album Pleasure And Pain was released"?

Oh!
I've added a paragraph I missed out, about their gold and platinum singles and LP's...
One more day to go, Natalie..

It's a very seedy lyric! It makes you want to shout 'For God's sake, Sawyer! Leave the poor woman alone!'

I knew that.
Sawyer was the Bez of Doctor Hook. I'm stopping now before I make any more foolish remarks about these fine purveyors of countryfied pop sleaze!

I've added some block quotes. As they are personal, you don't need to keep them in, if you don't like them..

Hello Lil,
These don't need to be in block quotes - blockquotes are used to quote people (or lyrics).
For example, if you were to use blockquotes you might say:
Somehow, a little of the magic had gone away with him - an h2g2 Researcher (It functions on its own beneath the explanation that Ray has departed, otherwise you'd put something like '- an h2g2 Researcher, on Ray Sawyer's absence from the Dr Hook farewell tour'
The other two would be the same, eg, you'd use the quote direct from the h2g2 Researcher whose mother (unbelievably!!) hated 'Sylvia's Mother' and again with Sawyer's quote about having a balloon over his head.
I hope that makes sense! If not, there's more info here: A1020817
Also, 'h2g2' should be in lower case.
'Everybody wants to take your baby home...'
Not long to go!
Natalie

Still not certain, it's correct.
I don't mind losing those from the text, if they don't look right
'..It's just I'm learning lots of things, I never knew back then..'

You've used them differently to my suggestion, and I think they look a lot better than my advice would have made them!
