It really was a group effort, being produced by 2legs, with parts played by Mu Beta, Lil and EMR and was prepped for audio by Mina. My role, for a change, was a cameo in just announcing it

B's contribution if anything ended up being played 'down' a bit in the final version; I had to put a filter on to remove some of the hiss/mic noise, and to a certain degree it took off a bit of 'edge' his performance had in the origional audio.... His Franky Howard impression really is fantastic; we should write a play for him to perform in his Franky Howard persona Actually.... anyone noticed B acting a bit odd recently?: I think he's still 'in role'

if there is another play of this type to do, I hope next time it is a bit shorter as that was quite a 'thing' to get that many individual audio clips together and in the right place we need to find a new one to do

I would've thought that someone who relies on his sense of hearing more than most would be able to work that out...

I think we're pretty much in your hands when it comes to future audio plays, 2legs. It's difficult to see how much goes into a bit of aV unless you're actually doing it, so if you have any suggestions on how we can do things better or what sort of article we should be looking for, it would be really handy.

The next piece Aviated will be Terran's new story, but that's more of an audio book than a play. Each part will be about five minutes long, and we'll put each of the six episodes out in six parts. The first part is almost complete, and it's very high up on my list of priorities. That should give us a few more ideas.

Well, it was the first time I'd done that kinda thing; I read through the play beforehand of course, but really didn't have any idea it'd end up that* long ; I should* have guess it might, reading a lot of audio books as I do, or listenitng to them as I should say, I'm well aware how a couple of hundred page short litlte paperback quickly ends up being nearly ten hours or more I've a couple ideas of my own, which may or may not work, and which may or may not get done But I've only the vagest of ideas on them thus far.
In terms of doing another audio play, it might be nice if the next one has a bit more scope for sound effects; The FAces was great partly because it is a storey effectively taking place all in the one room, which in some ways I gues smade it easier... But I dunno.. I like piddling about with audio effects

If you want to help out with sound effects, you could join us on the Firestorm project. But - and this may appeal less now I mention it - we will have a deadline, as it's going to be a regular Post feature. If you were running late, we'd start to miss issues, and I'd be unwilling to do that.

hey! : I love* deadlines.... that glorious wooshing noise they make : I have to admit with the faces I'd had a look at it all, and I'd kinda figured out it wouldn't* take me too long to do hence why I put it off and off and off until the last minute, (well I'd also kinda forgotten what the day date was) and it turned out to be a lot bigger undertaking than I'd origionally supposed it to be Well we live and learn

Tell you what. I'll email Firestorm part one to you. It's all done bar the sound effects. I'm away for the weekend, but I need to crack on next week to get it done in time for the Post, so if you want to try to work a bit of magic on it before Monday morning, it's yours. If not, I'll get the first episode done and you can take it from there.

The urgency is simply because Terran has been waiting a couple of weeks for me to finish it off, and we're both desperate to get the series started.

I didn't like to say anything but ever since I was over yours at the meet That new storey looked good BTW; linked to on the other thread... nice oppertunity for some sounds to accompany it (E.g., turn the music up when he mentions loud rock music, the washing machine door closing, dial turning and starting up (which I can record as the washing machine is in the room next to the Mic/studeo/PC))
