2legs - Hey, babe, take a walk on the wild side...

Mainly as it'd be quite easy and pretty-quick for me to do short (was it thirty seconds due to copyright considerations?) audio snippets/samples for them:

A13483514 - The Rutles - the Band - currently in Peer Review.

A3952343 'Broadway The Hard Way' - The Frank Zappa 1988 Tour - edited,

A447950 Bad News - the Spoof Heavy Metal Band - Edited

smiley - ermsmiley - musicalnote Could have sworn there was an edited Spinal Tap entry in the guide too but the search didny seem to bring it up smiley - weird Also though I've cleverly left the A number elsewhere thought might be fun to put audio on to the Screenreader and speech synthesiser entry though I'm not sure how it'd be possible for me to record the speech synth without getting feedback through teh speakers by running the audio outs back into the soundcard; But could probably do it with use of my laptop or such like, and could have differnt speech synthesisers; I've an apollo II and a couple of the software synths thought that'd take more time to put togehter but would still be a nice little thinggy to do smiley - musicalnote Just thought it might be worth getting some ideas together of the kinds of entrys that could have audio and which we felt we could do/had resources to do smiley - ermsmiley - cheerssmiley - run

I need to ask our legal department about speech samples too. If we're able, it might be possible to create audio samples of speech for the subjects of some of the biographical entries we have, like John Lennon or Margaret Thatcher.

You'll find we already have real-player samples on the first 'We Didn't Start the Fire' entry, the entry on Gershwin and an entry on Prokofiev.

the_jon_m - bluesman of the parish

I did a search ealier when I was trying to explain spinal tap in my Kinks entry PR thread, incidently the kinks entry that is on the front page, and the one I will re-read before the next meet

I should be coming up with a Tap entry soon

Unless there is an entry, but the search engine is not allowed to point at it, or even look at it
