... "Not Quite Ocean's Eleven Without All the Attractive Men" (And Ms Roberts I suppose)
but it was quite fun
I want a mini cooper now.

Yeah, heavily indebted to the new Ocean's 11. Wasn't sure whether that would be stating the bloomin' obvious or not and eventually forgot to put it in. Hey ho...

Didn't have such a funky soundtrack though...
all rise and salute David Holmes.
which incidentally leads me onto - have you seen Buffalo Soldiers?

I'm thinking of moving into the cinema this autumn, what with Master and Commander, Matrix, Kill Bill, Finding Nemo and Intolerable Cruelty to add to ROTK...
and sometime this week I have to go see Young Adam.

I know the feeling, but seeing Young Adam... well, it's not a priority. Must confess to being slightly irked by the limited release of Gigli - I'm curious to see if it's really *that* bad...
In the States they're releasing the extended versions of the first two LOTR, culminating in a triple bill over the 16th-17th December. I wish I was a student again and still able to shrug off staying up all night like that.

Gigli urgh, the only thing I've ever borne J-Lo in is Out of Sight...

Hmm, it's the artistic equivalent of rubbernecking at a pile-up, I suppose...
I did sit through Anaconda, but that's another really poor movie. The poor thing is not the best judge of scripts.

and possibly not of much else either...
every other person in this town seems to be driving a mini.
makes my jealousy even harder to live with.

Intolerable Cruelty, Swiv? Is this a George Clooney thing, or just that they gave it SUCH a bad title it must be good? If we're going for the girly films, I'm planning on having a look at Down With Love.
Oh, and I don't know when it's out, but Love Actually must be seen (the cast! - swoon).
Saw Italian Job (haven't seen original) was pleasantly surprised, largely because I was expecting to be bored stiff. The appearance of Seth Green made me happy. How hard did they have to think to come up with a reason to be driving the minis? And then they didn't drive them inside the house - disappointing.
What sort of mini do you want? The new ones just aren't (mini, that is, they're kinda big) and the small ones drop the engine into your lap if you ever hit anything. Give me a nice yaris anytime.

Intolerable Cruelty is a Catherine Zeta Jones thing (and George Clooney) - the trailer looks a lot of fun - me loves Coen bros fun.
Down with Love is quite fun - they had it on the plane out to Uganda - very convoluted and utterly unbelievable plot, and Renee Zellweger's outfits are Daft! But lots of fun, and Ewan McGregor is in suits.
oh yes, Love Actually - have you seen the trailer
Messrs Rickman and Firth!

Love Actually 21st Nov, CW.
Not fussed about Down With Love as Obi-Wan and Hamster Girl both look terribly smug in the posters, plus who cares about Rock Hudson/Doris Day movies any more?
Intolerably Cruelty's got a rave review in this month's Empire so will probably give it a try unless I'm unavoidably booked up with other movies...

oh Down with Love is generally a very smug film.
But given that the plane gave me a choice of that and How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days, I went for the hamster and the fit guy in the suit, rather than the twiglet and the not-particularly fit guy in the suit
shallow but it was an overnight flight!
