The Speed of Light
Created | Updated Jan 29, 2007
The Speed of Light, needless to say, is a very fast speed, unless you happen to live in a particularly poorly lit area of the universe. This speed, which is approximately 186,000 miles per second, is in theory the fastest speed that there is. Which does leave one to wonder why it is that nothing can go one-hundred-and-eighty-six-thousand-and-one miles per second?
The answer to this perplexity is actually very simple once you understand the physics involved. The simple fact of the matter is that it is impractical, impossible, and undoable. Go ahead and try. See? What did I tell you?
Any further explanation would probably just serve to frustrate the both of us, so let's just leave it that, shall we?
