As far as I can see, this one hasn't cropped up yet:
Flat out like a lizard drinking: Means 'passed out'. Comes from a small desert living lizard that drinks by lying on its back and collecting dew on its stomach.

Interesting. I have always thought "Flat out like a lizard drinking" referred to how fast one was travelling, presumably because lizards drink fast when they get the chance!
