Looks like it's well explained to me Gnomon
Has anyone tried to draw a pentagram using this info?
I was going to, but didn't have the equipment.

I've rejigged the "other equipment" section to clarify which equipment you need for which method.
I've tested all these methods, but I'd certainly appreciate someone else trying them out too.

Ive used the circle method previously and it works but I dont have a protractor or a ruler that has degrees on it but it all looks logical to me

Done the first method, and got a 5 pointed star. where did I go wrong? oh, and I dread to think what would've happened if I'd got one of the sides the wrong length. It doesn't look too bad, as 5 pointed stars go...
onto the next method...

The measurement method is great, as long as you take care.

Improve your guess: by the seventh guess, I was reasonably close. Doesn't look bad, and has the circle...

"A pentagram is a five-pointed star drawn with five straight strokes. The word pentagram comes from the Greek word [Greek text omitted] (pentagrammon), a noun form of [Greek text omitted] (pentagrammos) or [Greek text omitted] (pentegrammos), a word meaning roughly "five-lined" or "five lines".
The name indicates that a pentagram is not simply a five-pointed star; the symbol must be composed of five lines. That is, it must include the interior pentagon."

Under the 'Imprve your guess' method:
'Look at the length of the circle and guess what a fifth of that would be'.
What do you mean by the 'length' of a circle? (Diameter or circumference?)
