The Poetry of Mark Strand...

0 Conversations

Mark Strand, born in 1934, is one of the greatest poets of modern literature. He was nominates U.S. Poet Laureate in 1990, and has received countless awards for his poetry. He is, in my opinion, not only a great poet, but an exceptional thinker and philosophizer as well. His poetry often centers on "scenes" and vivid imagery, as well as original concepts and views of life. One of his famous poems is Keeping Things Whole written in 1968. I highly reccomend finding more of his poetry and exploring his genius for yourself. More information can be found in this Strand Profile.
