I've read through it once but will have to study it a bit to make good comments.

I don't see one for after the 2000 census yet.
I'm glad you enjoyed my lead and lead post, I actually had an immigrant working for me who thought that a lead anchor was the one in charge.

I actually had the current state votes info on there, but it made the page too long and annoyed me, so I took it out

One thing I thought of you don't mention in your other ways of voting is the "Black Ball" many private clubs require an unanimous vote to admit new members, this is accomplished by allowing each member to secretly place a marble in a box if they are all white the membership is confirmed, but with a single black marble they are rejected.
Just a though, although it certainly has nothing to do with "pluralty"

You might want to add a whole section on manipulating elections.
Your Kennedy quote would ft well there and it should include such things as the October Surprise where allegations about one candidate or party are released so close to the election that there can be no time to defend themselves.
There is also the filibuster where one side, expecting to lose a fair vote, extends the debate so long that the other side either goes home to sleep or withdraws their bill so they can go home. If they leave before withdrawing the bill the other side will quickly get all is's people on the floor and call the vote before the opposition can return.
I'm sure we will come up with other things too.

Where do you think I should create a section on voting manipulation?
I know the Pairwise system is easy to manipulate, but it didn't seem to be worth mention

I would put it at the end. As one of the main themes of the article deals with the fairness or lack thereof of the different election styles it just balances out that, as long as people are involved, any system can be corrupted.

Very good, I like the way you balance the manipulation. I seem to recall something about the spirits rise from thier graves on holloween, except for Chicago where they wait for election day. Even if it isn't a real quote it should be. On the unanimous election it would be good to mention the "black ball" as it has worked its way into modern slang.

Oh, right I happen to be proofreading it now. I'll look for that quote (hope it's attributable ) and add 'black ball'
Any ideas for a new title? I don't particularly like this one's title

You might just change the title to a generic "Methods of Voting".
Also, I think you ought to include the phrase "vote early, vote often" in there somewhere. Although I couldn't tell you who to attribute it to.
Key: Complain about this post
