They ride bikes in Bournemouth too - and unlike where I work, I suspect the bike sheds out back of BH1 1AA don't have bikes locked to them that have been there years and are now recycling themselves back into the environment.

Funny but sick.

Oh yeah,
postmen aren't usually sad, they're usually tired.
The average shift for a postie delivering the mail is about 5am to 11pm, then down to the pub till about 4pm, home to bed for a couple of hours kip and if they've got overtime (most likely) back in at 8pm till 12 midnight.
Very tiring, but quite well paid.
