h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hi, Everyone,

Once again I am asking you for your help. We have signed many petitions in an attempt to get the badger culling stopped, but this is the most important one yet - it is the only one that can precipitate a parliamentary debate on the subject, but we need 100,000 signatures for that to happen. Please help.

I am sorry but this petition is only open to UK residents, but please pass the link on to anyone in the UK who cares. The decision to go ahead with the cull was based entirely on 'points of law', not scientific information or common sense.

its not like we've many 'larger' mammels in this country as it is, then the farmers come up with some excuess why they want to shoot one of the remaining ones... and badgers at that

They can vaccinate them, instead, as in teh current Archers storeyline...

Thank you both. I am getting 'Done' back from some of my RL friends too but as usual h2g2 friends step up to be counted.

As you know I have badgers come to my garden every night and the thought of any of their kind being slaughtered fills me with dread.

When will people realise that every creature has a specific place in the scheme of things, and we destroy them at our peril.

Awww... getting badgers in your garden must be fabulus.... Never seen one in real life (well not a real one),

I have three at this very moment, but there maybe more during the night. They have just opened their dish very noisily. Sadly I have to use a dish otherwise furry vermin eat the food and I don't want to encourage them. The badgers leave the dish empty
